Alexander V. Oreshnikov

Alexander V. Oreshnikov is a painter, a member of the Artists’ Union, St. Petersburg Branch. He was born in 1939. In 1964 he graduated from I. Repin University of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Russian Academy of Arts, St.Petersburg (Leningrad at that time). From 1965 to 1967 he was a postgraduate. He taught at the same University from 1965 to 1977. Alexander Oreshnikov made a series of monumental wall-paintings in different towns of the former Soviet Union. His paintings are in collections of museums and Culture Centers of the former Soviet Republics and in private collections in Europe and America.
